That entity became a top 20 new residential construction company in the Inland Empire by 2020.

During his involvement in the construction industry and with local and state Building Associations, he became aware of rising nationwide issues in the industry. Millennials are struggling with home affordability, and their baby boomer parents are about to retire with a range of generational requirements that are not being met in the current housing market. To address these issues, Barry started Village Homes to bring multi-generational homes into the local market for the benefit of the community. He has designed the homes with the philosophy of providing separate but private homes for multiple generations under one roof.

Barry also volunteers his time to support our local and state communities in other ways. He is a Kootenai County Planning and Zoning Commissioner, on the State Contractor Registration Board, chairs the State Building PAC, is on the Legislative Committee for IBCA and the NIBCA as well as a Life Director of both HBAs. He is an Idaho Certified Master Builder and serves on that committee. He has won awards for Builder of the Year, State and Local Membership Spike, Membership Retention and the Member Hand in Hand award.

Barry is passionate about his involvement in the building industry, but his wife of over 35 years, four children, and ever-growing number of grandchildren are the pride and focus of his life. All of his goals and accomplishments are done for their benefit.
